Ajit Mohan, the head of Meta India, left the company to work for Snap Inc.

Mohan is resigning from his position at Meta to lead Snap's APAC division.

According to Nicola Mendelsohn, Vice President, Global Business Group, Meta, Ajit has chosen to resign from his position at Meta to seek another opportunity outside of the firm.

According to Mendelsohn, during the past four years, Mohan has played a significant contribution in defining and growing Meta's operations in India so that they can support many millions of Indian companies, partners, and customers.

Mohan joined Meta in 2019 when it was still known as Facebook Inc.

In a LinkedIn post, Mohan confirmed his exit from Meta. He said: "After almost 4 years leading Meta (Facebook) in India, I am stepping down from my role. I am grateful to the company for the amazing opportunity to lead its efforts in one of its most important countries and I am absolutely proud of the work the team and I have done to create an impact for people, creators and businesses around the country.”

When he took on this position, his goal was to assemble a group of people and a business that would serve as India's trusted ally and contribute to the country's economic and social reform. They have successfully accomplished this in the past four years, he said.

Mohan declared his intention to work for Snap. He claimed that in addition to serving on the executive team of Snap, he would oversee the Asia Pacific area.
