As long as both spouses agree, Colorado enables couples to get married privately. The couple decided to be married last-minute and took advantage of AI technology to conduct their wedding, which made it simpler and more affordable.

An unique linking was blessed in a historic church constructed in the 1800s that incorporated cutting-edge technology and tradition in a wedding ceremony that was conducted by none other than ChatGPT. Last weekend, Reece Wiench and Deyton Truitt got married, with the ChatGPT AI app's voice presiding.

According to a report by CBS Colorado, the idea came from the bride's father, Stephen Wiench, who revealed that the initial attempt to enlist an AI bot was met with resistance.

"At first, it said, 'No. "I can't do this; I don't have eyes or a body, I can't officiate at your wedding," Wiench recounted. However, they persisted and ultimately had success with ChatGPT, which consented to officiate the marriage. The chatbot agreed to officiate their wedding after the couple gave it the necessary information.

The couple wrote their own vows and added their own special touches, but also gave ChatGPT personal information to incorporate into the ceremony's script. A message was sent to the 30 guests informing them that AI would officiate the wedding.

Addressing the gathered guests, the voice of the AI officiant declared, "We are honoured and grateful to each and every one of you here, especially those who have travelled out of state — notably, Kansas." The bride and groom exchanged their own heartfelt vows, adding a touch of human warmth to the technologically enhanced occasion."
