As China published the names of 11 locations in the Indian state and referred to it as the "southern part of Tibet," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) said that Arunachal Pradesh is a fundamental and inalienable component of India. The MEA added that China has already attempted to do something similar.

In the meantime, according to a recent tweet from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, the country is now suffering as a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi "giving a clean chit to China" following the conflicts in the Galwan Valley in 2020.

Kharge tweeted, “For the third time, China has dared to “rename” our areas in Arunachal Pradesh. April 21, 2017– 6 places; December 30,2021- 15 places; and April 3, 2023- 11 places. Arunachal Pradesh is and will remain an integral part of India. After Galwan, the country is facing the consequences of Modi ji giving a clean chit to China.”

Earlier this week, the Chinese Civil Affairs Ministry published a third set of names in Chinese, Tibetan, and Pinyin characters for 11 locations in Arunachal Pradesh. Five mountain summits, two plains, two towns, and two rivers are among these locations. The ministry also provided a list of subordinate administrative districts and name classifications for locations.

Yet, the Chinese government has already published a list of this nature. China published the first list of names for six locations in 2017 and the second list of names, which included 15 locations, was published in 2021.
