Mercedes does its global reveal of its all electric EQE SUV which is the multipurpose variant of the EQE executive saloon.The luxury automaker says that the Mercedes EQE SUV is one of the most spacious representatives of its class. The EQE sedan as well as the SUV are more than likely to play a crucial role in the automaker's bid to play a huge role in EV mobility. The EQE SUV in particular could potentially capitalise on the growing preference of vehicles with a stronger road presence. It has slightly smaller dimensions than its sedan equivalent because it has a wheelbase of 3,030 mm, overall length of 4,863 width of 1,940mm and stands 1,686 mm tall.

The car has a 90.6kWh battery pack and has claimed a range of around 600 km per charge. There are two variants of this supercar.  The solitary electric motor on the rear axle helps the EV build 288 hp and offer 565 Nm of torque. But if one opts for the EQE 350 4Matic, the dual-motor setup helps take the torque up to 765 Nm even though the range then drops to around 560 Km. But there is an even more capable variant in the form of the EQE 500 4Matic which offers max power of 396 hp and torque of an incredible 858 Nm. The best claimed range of this is around 550 km.

The design of the Mercedes EQE SUV has a sporty character with the overhangs and the front and end assembly that have been kept compact. The EQE has a digital light headlamp technology that comes with innovative functions such as the projection of auxiliary markings or warning symbols onto the road.

With a continuous LED tail light strip on the rear face of the Mercedes EQE SUV, gives it a seamless look. The interior of the Mercedes EQE SUV flaunts a 17.7- inch MBUX hyperscreen along with a 12.3-inch OLED screen with a dedicated interface. With a 170kWh charger, the Mercedes EQE SUV can be charged in just 15 minutes and can give the EV a range of 220kms. Mercedes will also offer a warranty of 10 years of 2.50 lakh kilometres on the battery in markets where the EQE SUV will be offered first.
