Executive Vice President Richard Lobo has left Infosys, an Indian IT services business, in yet another high-profile departure, the IT giant said in a regulatory filing. Former HR director Lobo, who worked for the firm, was transferred to a special projects team under CEO Salil Parekh, and longtime executive Sushanth Tharappan was named HR director last month.

“This is to inform that Richard Lobo, Executive Vice President and Senior Management Personnel, has resigned from the services of the Company. His last date with the company would be August 31, 2023. The Company places on record its deep sense of appreciation for the services rendered by him and for his contributions to the company,” the IT services company informed exchanges in a regulatory filing.

Lobo has worked with Infosys for almost 23 years and is an experienced employee. He started working for the firm in 2000, and from 2015 until 2023 he supervised the HR department.

The company's departure of Lobo reflects the pattern of high-profile departures at Infosys and other Indian IT firms. Charles Salameh, the global head of account expansion, submitted his application last week to become the CEO of Sangoma Technologies Corporation.

Before that, Vishal Salvi, the global chief information security officer and business head at Infosys, left the IT business to become the CEO of Quick Heal. After 22 years, EVP Narsimha Rao Mannepalli quit Infosys in June.

Mohit Joshi, a President at Infosys, was one of the other well-known people to leave. Joshi became the CEO designate of Tech Mahindra. The position of CEO of Cognizant was taken on by Ravi Kumar S, who was also a President at the big IT company.
