Students will be able to study the fundamentals of computers and coding in Bharat MarkUp Language, a platform developed by Makers Lab that allows anyone to code in their language.

Makers Lab, Tech Mahindra's research and development department, has launched 'Meta Village,' a digital representation of Pargaon in Maharashtra, to gamify learning on its Roblox platform.

Students will be able to study the fundamentals of computers and coding in Bharat MarkUp Language, a platform developed by Makers Lab that allows anyone to code in their language.

"Strengthening its commitment towards 'Make in India,' with the launch of the Meta Village, Tech Mahindra will drive innovation in the education sector at the grass-roots level," according to the company's statement.

As part of Tech Mahindra's aim to encourage technical education and skill development in rural regions, Makers Lab has already taught children the basics of computers and BHAML.

"We believe that education systems must constantly reinvent to leverage innovative approaches and new technologies to their full potential. Metaverse is one such disruptive technology that has the power to revolutionize learning through immersive digital experiences," said Nikhil Malhotra, global head – of Makers Lab, Tech Mahindra. In Metaverse, Paragaon is the first Indian village to have a digital twin. According to the company, students will be able to attend classrooms in Meta Village for both live and offline sessions.
